Very nice article and video on my improv group, The Stepfathers. We perform every Friday at 9pm, at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, NYC and I am grateful for this.
No joke, I saw the Stepfathers when I was in college about 6 or 7 years ago, and the one show I saw legitimately changed my life.

Well I just finished it. Not just, a few hours ago. But I might as well have just finished it because now it’s 1:24 in the morning as I write this and I’m not going to bed anytime soon.
I know I said I like the post-apocalyptic but I’m not sure if I like my apocalypses so goddam real.

was so good that I saw it twice in one weekend a few weeks back and I still can’t stop thinking about it.
It’s also made me realize that one of my favorite subgenres of stories is “Shit goes wrong in some sort of facility whose sole purpose is to create or control said shit.” Portal 2 does this really well in video game form and I love the scenes like this in Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’ (side-note: I also have a boner for anything post-apocalyptical).
If you have any recommendations for this very, very specific subgenre, by all means please let me know. I’m looking at you, weird Netflix Instant recommendation engine!

I think about this man getting his own show and I get A. BONER.
